Girls and Boys Spring Tournament

Kent State University is pleased to announce that they will be hosting a Girls and Boys Travel Soccer Tournament / Festival on March 16-18 at the KSU Indoor Field House and Dix Football Stadium.

$200 per team (includes ref fees)

Come dust off the winter rust at the Kent State Girls and Boys Travel Soccer Tournament / Festival and get your travel team prepared for their spring outdoor season. Interested teams must be travel teams who are sanctioned with OYSAN and all players must have a valid player pass or birth certificate to play.

Each team will be guaranteed 3 games with a maximum of 4 games during the three-day event. U8 through U9 age groups will play in a Festival format (round robin games) with no championship game. U10 through U14 age groups will play a progressive tournament format with the top division leaders meeting for a championship game. Single age group divisions, but divisions may be combined depending upon entrants. Some games for local teams will be scheduled on Friday evening March 16 starting at 6pm. Saturday, March 17 games will start at 8am and run through 9pm and Sunday, March 18 games will start at 8am and conclude by 5pm.

U8 through U10 Girls / Boys will play 6v6 on a field size 55x45 in the KSU Indoor Field House. Games will be 40 minutes in length with no half time. Modified rules – sub on the fly, all free kicks are direct, goalie can punt the ball, regular corner kicks and throw-ins and no offsides.
U11 through U12 Girls / Boys will play 7v7 on a field size 55x45 in the KSU Indoor Field House. Games will be 40 minutes in length with no half time. Modified rules – sub on the fly, all free kicks are direct, goalie cannot punt the ball, but can throw the ball out, regular corner kicks and throw-ins and no offsides.  
U13 through U14 Girls / Boys will play 11v11 outdoors on a turf field at Dix Football Stadium, with lights for later games. Games will be 40 minutes in length with no half time. FIFA rules will apply however teams can sub on any throw-in, goal kick or kick off.
